Est. 2008 — Lahore, Pakistan
The Beginning
Nuvera was born in 2008 when founder Tariq Nuvera set up a 1,200 sq.ft. workshop in the back lanes of Model Town, Lahore — with two master craftsmen, a single lathe, and an unshakeable conviction that Pakistan could produce furniture that rivalled the finest ateliers in the world.
What began as commissions for discerning Lahori families grew into a name whispered between architects and interior designers from Karachi to Dubai. The workshop expanded. The vision never wavered.
Today, our 18,000 sq.ft. atelier employs 64 artisans — joiners, carvers, upholsterers, metalworkers — each one a keeper of a tradition that Nuvera refuses to let die.
Milestones

2014
Growing demand leads to a purpose-built facility housing dedicated joinery, upholstery, metalwork, and lacquer studios under one roof.
2018
Nuvera formalises its full interior design offering, creating holistic commissioned spaces rather than individual pieces alone.
2022
A milestone that marks not a number, but the trust of a thousand patrons who chose craft over convenience.
2024
Nuvera now delivers to 12 countries while maintaining the same uncompromising standard that defined the very first piece made in that small Lahore workshop.
How We Work
01
We use hand tools where machines would be faster. We choose aged wood over fresh-cut. We spend time in ways that cannot be measured on a balance sheet — because quality is not a cost, it is an ethic.
02
Mughal architecture, Multani tile-work, the geometry of Lahori havelis — these are not references we quote, they are languages we speak. Every Nuvera piece carries a whisper of the subcontinent.
03
We source materials without compromise — Burmese teak, Italian marble, Belgian linen, French leathers — and combine them with the metallurgy and woodcraft of our local artisans.
04
We build furniture that can be passed down. Joinery that tightens with age. Upholstery that can be re-done in twenty years. In a world of disposable design, permanence is our luxury.
